Khieu Samphan said over radio Phnom Penh that the future policy of Cambodia would be one of neutrality and independence within the borders. Prince Norodom Sihanouk in Peking said that there were no killings carried out by the Khmer Rouge.
ខៀវ សំផន បាននិយាយតាមប៉ុស្ដិ៍វិទ្យុក្រុងភ្នំពេញថា អនាគត់គោលនយោបាយកម្ពុជា នឹងប្រែក្លាយជាអធ្យាក្រឹត និងឯករាជ្យជាមួយព្រំដែនប្រទេសនានា។ សមេ្ដចនរោត្ដម សីហនុ នៅក្រុងប៉េកាំង បាននិយាយថា គ្មានការសម្លាប់ណាមួយដែលប្រព្រិត្ដឡើងដោយខ្មែរក្រហមនោះទេ។
