Although there had been persistent accusing the Khmer Rouge of brutailty moulding Cambodia, 300 Cambodian refugees wanted to return to their homeland from the United States. They said Cambodia was their country; they wanted to help to rebuild the country by forgetting about the past and looking toward the future.
ទោះបីជាជាមានការចោទប្រកាន់ថា ខ្មែរក្រហមធ្វើឱ្យប្រទេសកម្ពុជាវិកវូ និង វិនាស ជនភៀសខ្លួនកម្ពុជា ប្រមាណ៣០០នាក់ ចងត្រលប់ពីសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកមកមាតុភូមិកម្ពុជាវិញ។ ពួគគេនិយាយថា ប្រទេសកម្ពុជាជាប្រទេសរបស់ពួកគេ, ពួកគេចង់ជួយកសាងប្រទេសជាតិឡើងវិញ ដោយបំភេ្លចរឿងពីអតីតកាល និង ត្រូវសម្លឹងមើលទៅពេលអនាគត់។
