Cambodia's rapid economic recovery during the first few years after the Vietnamese invasion had slowed dramatically. The continuing rebel attacks not only created anxiety, but they also hampered economic development as people were drafted for defense activities.
សេដ្ឋកិច្ចរបស់កម្ពុជាបានវិលមកសភាដើមជាបណ្ដើរៗក្នុងអំឡុងពេលពីរបីឆ្នាំ ក្រោយពេលដែលការឈ្លានពានរបស់វៀតណាមមានសភាពធ្លាក់ចុះ ជាទម្ងន់។ ការវាយបន្ដប្រយុទ្ធរបស់ក្រុមឧទ្ទាម មិនត្រឹមតែមានសភាព អន្ទះសារ ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្ដែគេក៏បានយាយីដល់ការអភិវឌ្ឍ សេដ្ឋកិច្ចឱ្យ មានភាពទៅនឹង ប្រជាជនដែលត្រៀមខ្លួនសម្រាប់សកម្មភាពទប់ទល់។
