Refugees reported that most villages and communes prohibited private cooking. Former residents of Poy Shoul said that each household there was allowed only spoon for each resident, plus a water jar and a dipper.
ជនភៀសខ្លួនបានរាយការណ៍ថាអ្នកភូមិអ្នកស្រុកមួយចំនួនត្រូវបានហាមឃាត់មិនឱ្យដំាស្លដោយខ្លួនឯងទេ។ អ្នកចំណូលចាល់នៃ ពយ ស៊ូល បាននិយាយថាសំភារៈដែលអនុព្ញាតឱ្យប្រើបានសំរាប់អ្នកភូមិម្នាក់ៗមានតែស្លាបព្រាកែវទឹក និង បោយទឹកតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ។
