After five years of exile in the chinese capotal, Sihanouk's several relatives and aides said they had decided to go to France rather than return home to experience life under the new pro-communist cambodian government.
បន្ទាប់ពីការចាចេញនៅទីក្រុងនៃប្រទេសចិនបាន៥ឆ្នាំ សាច់ញាតិរបស់សីហនុ ២-៣ នាក់ និង អ្នកជំនិតរបស់គាត់បាននិយាយថា «ពួកខ្ញុំជ្រើសរើសទៅប្រទេសបារាំងគ្រាន់បើជាងវិលត្រឡប់មកប្រទេសដើមវិញដែលត្រូវស្ថិតនៅក្រោមការកែប្រែជីវិតថ្មីដែលដឹកនាំដោយរដ្ឋាភិបាលបក្សកុម្មុយនិស្ដកម្ពុជាថ្មី»។
