Ray got married to Ou Nut when she was 15 years old. Ou Nut died in 1976 because of starvation. Ray has 6 children. Her father called Chann Sum died in 1978. Her mother died in 1982 because of sickness. Ray has 8 siblings, but three of them died in the Khmer Rouge regime.In the Khmer Rouge regime, she was lacking of food, water and medical care. She was in combat situation. She was brainwashed. She was close to death. She was forced to separate from her family members. She was drown when she was 10 years old. She suffocated in 1982. Recently, she has recurrent thoughs of the most hurtful events. She feels as though the event is happening again. She has trouble sleeping. She is avoiding activities that remind her of the traumatic events. She feels as if she does not have a future. She is avoiding thoughts associated with the traumatic experience. She is sudden emotional. She has difficulties in performing her daily tasks. She spends time thinking about why these events happened to her. She feels that she is the only one who suffered the events. She feels that she has no one to rely on. She feels someone she trusted betrayed her.
