Resistance :

disagreed with the killing of captured or deserting Lon Nol soldiers and the execution of Sangha Hoeun and his followers, 1973???? ;notes: "1973 Chou Chet was transferred to the Western Zone ("Bacchim"). Not 1975. Transferred from my khum. He went to discuss the problem of killing the Lon Nol soldiers [and the execution of Sangha Hoeun and his followers]. He didn't agree with that, so he was transferred and the Southwest Zone was divided into two, and the Western Zone created. This was in 1973, 2 years before Phnom Penh was liberated. I am sure about this. Chou Chet and Ta Mok didn't get on at all. I saw their followers fighting one another about politics and theory in the middle of meetings in my khum" (BKI 152, p. 511) ~ possibly disagreed with purge and killing of Hanoi-trained cadre in Southwest Zone ;notes: "One of the internal disagreements was Mok's gathering up of all the Hanoi Khmers into one place and killing them off. He gathered them from all over the Southwest, over 3,000 of them. I was low-level, don't know Sy's opinion on this, probably it was different from Mok's, because from my observations it was from that time that they parted company" (BKI, p. 501) ~ opposed the evacuation of Phnom Penh, 1974???? ;notes: "Believed that there was no need to evacuate Phnom Penh after the liberation" (BKI, pp. 500, 504) ~ planned military uprising, 1978????
