Summary / Abstract :
|
Photographer's vision can clarify or enlarge his viewers' experience of life. The hopefulness of "Paradise Garden" contrasts with the rotting skulls, some still wearing executioners' blindfolds, in the Cambodia exhibit. Hawk, who has combined journalism with work as a human rights activist, documents the tyranny of the Khmer Rouge government during its 1975-1979 rule in Cambodia.
