Activity Pre 79 :

Hu Nim had Mey report her account of her relationship with Khuon and the pregnancy. Hu Nim also transcribed her account and transmitted it along with the tape to Pol Pot's office to Doeun. He then told Pol Pot in a meeting in the end of March about it personally, leading to Mey's subsequent removal from K-33 by the Organization (PPP, p. 295) ~ during this same meeting Pol Pot ordered Hu Nim to work in B-11, an office in the Foreign Ministry (PPP, pp. 295, 342) ~ during Brother No. 2's visit to K-33 over the Khuon-Mey affair, he had several meetings with Hu Nim (PPP, p. 295) ~ Hu Nim never saw Khuon again after his removal (PPP, p. 296) ~ In early April 1976, he met with So Phim at the Eastern Zone Trade Office (in front of the Unnalom pagoda)(PPP, p. 296) ~ Before August 1976 (early in the rainy season)he pariticipated in a meeting held by the Organization between Ieng Sary, Khieu Samphan, and other members of the Foreign Ministry to prepare for the upcoming Conference of Non-aligned nations in Colombo. Here he was told by the Organization to make a film for the conference (PPP, p. 299) ~ He went to the North and East with Chan to make the film (PPP, p. 300) ~ On his trip East he only found Sim Bun there. All others including Phim and Lin were gone (PPP, p. 301) ~ He saw Penn (April 17 Hospital)for severe health problems involving his liver. He returned to K-33 after ten days in the hospital, where his condition only became worse (PPP, p. 303) ~ He asked the Organization for some treatment from Beijing. When Ieng Sary went there he brought back some medicine for Hu Nim that seemed to work (PPP, p. 304) ~ He met comrade Thon known as Som in Region 13 in the Southwest Zone (PPP, pp. 304, 344) ~ In January 1977 he accompanied Korean guests with Bean (of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)to the Northwest. He was redirected by the Organization to return to Phnom Penh (PPP, p. 315) ~ Referring to late 1976 Hu Nim states that listening to Pol Pot after a meeting he received more information regarding the smashing (komtech)of traitors (PPP, p. 230)

Resistance :
|
He states in his confession that he was "disturbed and tormented" by theoretical documents about "collectivism" at a party meeting (PPP, p. 230) ~ Two unconfirmed reports suggest Hu Nim's dissent not long before his arrest: In the first, at a 1977 meeting, he suggests material incentives, specifically money, as a means to get more productivity out of the population. In the second, he was cited as having asked the party for mercy on the people by not persecuting them and accepting foreign aid (PPP, pp. 230 - 231) ~ In late 1975, he was informed of Som's (Tiv Ol's)activities of sexual misconduct (Lim provided a tape to Hu Nim who sent it to the Organization). "Brother No. 2" came to see Hu Nim to give the orders to keep him on. Hu Nim voiced his opposition to this and later the Organization had Som removed from K-33 (PPP, p. 283) ~ Allegations of sexual misconduct were made against Koy Thuon (Khuon)and reported to Hu Nim who did not at that time report it to the Organization, 1976???? (PPP, p. 289)
