In 1971, he joined the revolution as Chief of District militia of Region 7. He allegedly opposed the KR by reporting the KR to the enemy so they could come to the village and kill people. He escaped to Thailand after 1975. He was arrested on 15 September 1977.
នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ គាត់បានចូលរួមនឹងបដិវត្ដន៍ធ្វើជាប្រធានកងឈ្លបស្រុក នៅតំបន់៧ ។ គាត់បានប្រឆាំងនឹងខ្មែរក្រហមដោយរាយការណ៍ពី ខ្មែរក្រហមទៅឱ្យខ្មាំង ដើម្បីឱ្យខ្មាំងអាចចូលមកក្នុងភូមិ និង សម្លាប់ ប្រជាជន។ គាត់បានរត់ចេញទៅប្រទេសថៃ បន្ទាប់ពីឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ។ គាត់បានចាប់ខ្លួននៅថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៧ ។
