Ben Kiernan told David Hawk that he was able to prove that Khieu Samphan was a member of the CPK's Standing Committee of the Central Committee as early as 1976. Other members were Pol Pot, Noun Chea, Ieng Sary, Son Sen, Ta Mok, and Ke Pork.
