Summary / Abstract :

Mr. B Dhanabalan, minister for foreign affairs of Singapore, gave a speech at the Jakarta informal meeting on 26 July 1988. He emphasized on the withdrawal of Vietnamese force from Cambodia, the position of ASEAN that opposed the Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia and the Pol Pot problem, which needed to be death with in both its internal and external aspects. Moreover, he urged all parties concerned not to make demands but to work out solutions and to ensure that history would not repeat itself in Cambodia.
