I am Uk Yuon, aged 66, currently living in Chhouk Ramduol Village, Tipou Commune, Santuk District, Kampong Thom Province. I would like to describe my experience under the Khmer Rouge regime. The Khmer Rouge took my cow, destroyed my house and used the wood from my house to construct a warehouse for rice storage. They took my plates and pots to be used collectively. This incident took place in 1975, three months after they took control of Chhouk Romduol Village. A base chief whose name I do not recall collected all the property. I do not know why he did so. |
