Execution:
In 1978, I saw people being taken to be killed at a rubber plantation farm, but I do not recall the name of the village or district. There were two or three people being killed each time. They were blindfolded and their hands were tied behind their back. We could not recognize who they were. Most of the time, people were taken to be killed between five p.m. and six p.m. After witnessing the killing twice, I was sent to fight against the Vietnamese. I do not recall the names of the people who escorted and killed the victims or who the prisoners were. Later, I went to fight against the Vietnamese troops in the Eastern Zone. Around that time, the Khmer Rouge killed Saophim, “the Secretary of the Zone or the Chief of the Eastern Zone�. I did not witness the arrest of Saophim. However, when they killed him, they dragged him around using the car. I do not know what wrongdoing he had committed. Khmer Rouge soldiers arrested and killed him, but I do not know their names. This was in early 1979. |
