Mei Sophal, 23, chief of Platoon, Company 13, was born in Peareang Sub-district, Peareang District, Prey Veng Province. Sophal joined the army in Peareang District in 1970. From 1971 through 1974, he worked at Battalion 11 with Chhiev and Yien who indoctrinated Sophal on the serving for the Free Khmer activities to strengthen forces, convince soldiers to counter the revolution, to kill their members, to leave weapons behind, to counter the revolution, and to surrender to the enemy. In 1975, Yien and Chhiev were assigned to infiltrate into unit 502 of aviation to contact soldiers to counter the revolution and prepare for July 1976 plots to destroy important materials.
ម៉ី ស៊ីផល អាយុ ២៣ឆ្នាំ ជាប្រធានកងអនុសេនាតូច អនុសេនាធំ ១៣ កើតនៅ ឃុំ ពារាំង ស្រុកពារាំង ខែត ព្រៃវែង និង ចូលធ្វើកងទព័នៅស្រុកពារាំង ក្នុងឆ្នាំ១៩៧០ ។ ១៩៧១-១៩៧៤ នៅកងវរៈសេនាតូច ១១ ជាមួយ ឈៀវ និង យៀន អប់រំផលឱ្យបំរើសកម្មភាពខ្មែរសេរី ដើម្បីពង្រីកកម្លាំង ចលនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដន៍ ចលនាយុទ្ធជនឱ្យបានសំលាប់ គ្នាឯង ឱ្យរត់ចោលកាំភ្លើង ឱ្យប្រឆាំងបដវេត្ដន៍ និង ចលនាឱ្យយុទ្ធជនរត់ចូល្មាំង ។ ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥ យៀន និង ឈៀវ បានចាត់តាំង់បង្កប់នៅកង ៥០២ អាកាសចរ ដើរទាក់ទង យុទ្ធជនឱ្យប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដន៍ ត្រឿមចាំផែនការខែ៧-១៩៧៦ បំផ្លាញសំភារៈសំខាន់ៗ ។
