The General Council of the Country of the Pol Pot Regime's Crime Investigation Commission, chaired by Mr. Min Khin, led a 5-member research team consisting of Mr. Chea Kian, Mr. Tit Sunthon, Mr. Kim Ly, and Mrs. Tes Seang Lim, to summarize the total number of people nationwide killed by the Pol Pot regime from 1975 to 1978, totaling 3,314,768 people.
