17 April' people, together with Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants, were sent to Angkor Borey mountain area, a flooded area, to eradicate grass, build up the water control system and embarkments, with insufficient food. 10 thousand peoples died from starvation and hard work, and some of them were killed.
ប្រជាជន ១៧ មេសា រួមជាមួយនឹងជនអន្ដោប្រវេសន៍សញ្ជាតិចិន និង វៀតណាម ត្រូវបានបញ្ជូនទៅតំបន់ភ្នំ អង្គរបុរីជាតំបន់លិចទឹក ដើម្បីដកស្មៅ ធ្វើប្រព័ន្ធគ្រប់គ្រងទឹក និង ចុះកប៉ាល់ ដោយទទួលបាន អាហារមិនបានគ្រប់គ្រាន់។ ប្រជាជន១០០០នាក់ បានស្លាប់ដោយ សារការអត់ឃ្លាន និង ធ្វើការធ្ងន់បាក់កម្លាំង ហើយប្រជាជនមួយចំនួនត្រូវស្លាប់។
