Killing
After coming to power in 1975, the Khmer Rouge killed my older brother, Khut Thy, a former Lon Nol soldier. My brother disappeared in Nipech Village, Nipech Commune, Prasat Balaing District, Kampong Thom Province. An elderly man named Saut and an elderly woman named Chhin informed my father that the Khmer Rouge had killed the following people: 1. Khut Thy, my brother 2. Taing, male, (major lieutenant) 3. Ty, male, a soldier The Khmer Rouge killed three of them in Nipech Village. Their hands were tied behind their backs and they had to walk to their execution which took place in Nipech Village. After my brother was executed, the security police of Salavisay Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province, spied on my father, both at home and at work. At nighttime, Pol, a security policeman who used to be the head of a pagoda located in Sre village, came to spy on my father. Currently, Pol lives in Sankor Village, Sankor Commune, Prasat Balaing District, Kampong Thom Province. My brother was arrested because he was a Lon Nol soldier. I do not know any other stories. |
