Long Saran, 23, confessed that he was a former soldier of unit 804, region 23, eastern zone. On July 10, 1978, he was arrested while he was fighting in Tram Dek battlefield, Kampong Lea district, Svay Rieng province. On December 10, 1978, Saran ran away from prison toward [Phnom Penh]
ឡុង សារ៉ន អាយុ ២៣ឆ្នាំ បានសារភាពថាៈ ពីមុននៅអង្គភាព ៨០៤ ជាយោធាតំបន់ ២៣ ភូមិភាគបូព៌ាទិសត្រូវយួនចាប់ខ្លួនបាន នៅថ្ងៃទី១០ កក្កដា ១៩៧៨ ពេលប្រយុទ្ធនៅសមរភូមិត្រាំដែក ស្រុកកំពង់លា ខេត្ដស្វាយរៀង ។ បានរត់ចេញពីគុកមកកម្ពុជា វិញនៅថ្ងៃទី១០ ធ្នូ ១៩៧៨។
