Ly Bun Soeun, who was a CIA, confirmed that Tun Davy joined the bandit group in Ma Lai mountain. In August, 1975, Chhay Meng Huot, Liteutenant and chief of bandits, assigned Tun Davy to hide in region 42. He had two responsibilities which were to search for weapon warehouse, food and provoke people to stuggle against the revolution.
លី ប៊ុនសឿន នាទីសេអ៊ីអាបានបញ្ជាក់ថាឈ្មោះទន់ ដាវី ចូលចោរ ព្រៃភ្នំម៉ាឡៃ។ នៅខែ៨-១៩៧៥ ឆាយ ម៉េងហួត សក្ដិ៥ មេចោរ ព្រៃចាត់តាំង ទន់ ដាវី ទៅបង្កប់តំបន់ ៤២ ហើយមានភារកិច្ច ២គឺ សេុីបឃ្លាំងអាវុធ និងស្បៀងបំផុសប្រជាជនអោយ ប្រឆាំងបដិវត្ដ។
