Through inquiry, Um Phat had good connection many ministries and he seemed to tell more, but he didn’t know more. He was driven and detained in custody with other3, Phal, Ki and Yum. At 24h00 of 27 April 1974, they escaped from the custody. When they reached Svay Meat, they were cashed to chop down so they ran separately. At 21h30 of 22 May 1974, he appeared at military centre at Prek Anchanh. And other two defected at Prek Tameak.
តាមការសួរចម្លើយឈ្មោះ អ៊ុយ ផាត់ មានការស្និតស្នាលជាមួយ នឹងក្រសួងច្រើន ហើយមានភាពដូចថាចង់ផ្ដល់ពត៌មានច្រើនទៀត តែខ្លួនពុំបានដឹងអស់។ ក្នុងពេលខ្មាំងគៀរចាប់យកទៅ សាម៉ីខ្លួនបាន រកមធ្យោបាយរត់មកវិញ ហើយបានរត់រួចនៅថ្ងៃ២៧ មេសា ១៩៧៤ នៅម៉ោង២៤។ ក្រុមខ្លួនមានគ្នា៤នាក់ គឺឈ្មោះ ផល, គី, យុំ ហើយ បាននាំគ្នារត់ចេញពីមន្ទីរឃុំឃាំងអស់ លុះធ្វើដំណើរ មកដល់ស្វាយរមៀត ត្រូវពួកវាដេញកាប់ក៏រត់បែកគ្នាមិនដឹងទៅទីណា។ ដល់ថ្ងៃ ២២ ខែឧសភា ១៩៧៤ វេលាម៉ោង២១កន្លះបានចូលបង្ហាញ ខ្លួននៅមណ្ឌលសឹកព្រែកអញ្ចាញ។ ហើយពីរនាក់ទៀតបានចុះចូល នៅព្រែកតាមាក់។
