Summary / Abstract :

In 1970, Uy Pengleng [allegedly]was an advisor in Regiment 33 of Division 703 in Kandal Province. [Leng]indoctrinated inhabitants to believe that the Vietnamese were their benefactors. After the Vietn amese and Cambodian relationship ended, [Leng]was transferred to Region 15. [Leng]developed CIA troops in Region 15 and 21 and opposed Son San's party and the Khmer Rouge. [Uy Pengleng]aimed to attack the Khmer Rouge. On 5 August, 1977, [Uy Pengleng]was arrested by Angkar.
