In 1970, Thong Rath [allegedly]became a CIA agent. [Rath]spied on the Khmer Rouge and inspired students to hate the Khmer Rouge. In 1975, [Rath]infiltrated the revolution, working as a statistician ma n. [Rath]told people not to trust or believe in the cooperatives. [Rath]hid rice stocks to supply the external networks, which had planned to attack Region 4. On 14 July, 1977, [Thong Rath]was arreste d by Angkar.
