Radio Phnom Penh announced the change in the government that former Deputy Prime Minister Khieu Samphan now became Defense Minister; Ieng Sary, a former government advisor, became Foreign Minister; an d Son Sen became Deputy Defense Minister. Prince Sihanouk, Head of the State, was still in exile in Pyongyang, North Korea, The change worried China since these people used to have relations with Hano i, a follower of USSR.
