Thai Prime Minister Tanin Kraivixien said in Kuala Lumpur that Thailand may hit back at Cambodia. Since January 1977 Cambodian troops had invaded Thailand more than 400 times. Tanin believed that the possible reasons for such aggression were to divert attention from their hardship and to expand communism throughout Southeast Asia.
