In Aranyaprathet District of Prachinburi Province, a Khmer Rouge spy was shot dead. Leaflets in Khmer were found. It warned villagers that the Khmer Rouge would seize the Ban Sa Ngae Village by August 20. Another clash took place in Klong Luek District. Unusual movements of Khmer Rouge forces were observed along the border opposite Ubon Ratchathani Province.
