Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1964, Svay Nak [allegedly]was a Sub-District Chief's spy investigating Khmer Rouge activities to eliminate communism. In 1969, [Svay Nak]was educated by In Tam and communicated with the Free Khmer (Soeung Ngoc Thanh)along the Vietnamese border to prepare weapons and gunpowder to stage a future coup d'état. In 1970, [Svay Nak]hid himself in the revolution in Region 33 and encouraged people not t o join the revolution and if someone took part in the revolution, he or she would be killed. In 1975, [Svay Nak]was a military commander and encouraged combatants to run out of the line, to burn weapo ns warehouses and to hide food supplies in order to stage a coup d'état. On 1 April 1977, [Svay Nak]was arrested.
