Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1976, Comrade Tauch Sopheap was entrusted with traitorous plans against the revolution in Sihanoukville. The plan to gather force was to be achieved by using Sihanouk's name; he was very popular. W hen they grasped hold of the administration, they would set up a new administration as good as the one by the Lon Nol regime, by implementing the policy similar to the traitorous Khmer White Military operation, to start from Sihanouk ville. Traitors were to be weeded out from the revolutionary line, especially from the Eastern Zone in order to capture Bhon Denh. This was to be a two-pronged attack -one from the railroad via Stung Hav and the other via National Route 4. When meeting the revolutionary troops, they would attack immediatly to make way for their troops to capture Phnom Penh and the area along the Mekong up to the South Vietnamese boundary, to allow Vietnamese troops to intervene.
