Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1973, Barv joined the revolution as a Brigade Chief in Zone 5, and joined the CIA, [Barv]prevented troops from cutting off roads as ordered by Angkar, and encouraged youth to desert the battlefield and return home. In 1975, [Barv]burned hospitals and ordered troops not to mine roads, to allow safe ways for people to escape to Thailand. In 1976, [Barv]formed a plot to attack the revolution in Ba ttambang, equipped youth with guns to kill revolutionary cadres, built up CIA forces to destroy crops, encouraged people to dispute with Angkar, and made youths demine so people could escape to Thaila nd. In 1977, [Barv]was arrested by Angkar.
