Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1965, Chhem Chhoeung [allegedly]was a spy in the revolution to keep track of the Khmer Rouge for a Commune Chief. In 1970, [Chhem Chhoeung]joined the revolution as an internal undercover agent, con ducted action against the revolution, built up forces and sought to buy weapons for use in the forest. During 1975-77, [Chhoeung]built up traitorous forces in Region 3, inspired units to dislike and o ppose the revolution, and contacted Thai soldiers in Malai to stage a coup d'état to occupy the Northwestern Zone. [Chhem Chhoeung]was arrested on 16 June, by Angkar.
