Summary / Abstract :
Phan Chay was [allegedly]combatant in Unit 109 of Region 25. In 1970, [Chay]betrayed the revolution, by taking part in the CIA. Chay's CIA group was led by Hong Chea, who inspired combatants to flee f rom home, leave the revolution and join the enemy forces and report on the revolution's bases to the enemy for bombing. Hong Chea provoked problems among people and persuaded them to act against the r evolution. In 1975, Hong was appointed to be the Tractor Repair Garage of Region 5, where [he]inspired workers to destroy the revolution's supplies. In 1976, Hong sent evacuees to Thailand to join the enemy military and stage a coup d'état. [Chay]cooperated with In Tam and had hidden supplies to stage a coup d'état in 1977, but was arrested in June 1977.
