Summary / Abstract :

In 1967, Ton Sophon, [allegedly]joined the Kampuchea Krom United Liberation Front which was a branch of the CIA. [Sophon]acted against the Khmer Rouge by spying and kidnapping the Khmer Rouge and spre ading leaflets in Phnom Penh port. In 1975, [Sophon]incited people to destroy materials, made contact with Thai and Vietnames soldiers to fight the revolution. In 1976, [Sophon]was a house builder in Region 4 and inspired workers to join the CIA and destroyed crops. Angkar arrested [Ton Sophon]on 31 July, 1977.
