Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1964, Nuon Roeun [allegedly]joined the revolution. In 1970, he allegedly joined the CIA and infiltrated the revolution as an Agricultural Chief in Sroung Trong Division. He dismantled collectives, destroyed rice, and formed querrilla forces. In 1975, he was sent by Angkar to be an Under-Secretary for Region 42, to take control of Chamka District. At that time, he destroyed rice crops, hid good quality products and only gave people spoiled products, prepared plans to attack the party, killed cadres who refused to join them and killed a thousand soldiers in Kay Ko Village. On 1 October, 1977, he was arrested by Angkar.
