In 1970, Ven Van, revolutionary name, Man, was a soldier of the revolution in Region 2 and was a member of a communication group. In 1974, as a regional soldier, [Van]inspired soldiers to defect from the defense line and planned to attack the revolution after liberation. After the liberation in1975, [Van]was in the tank troops, [Van]caused tanks to be out of order and talked evil about the revolut ion in order to make people hate the revolution and allowed them to escape to Thailand. [Van]formed traitorous troops and contacted In Tam's troops to attack the revolution. On 9 Februry, 1978, [Van]w as arrested by Angkar.
