Contains a note: Most secret. On page 1, is a hand-written note in red pen, which reads: Very secret; 1)This document is the conclusion of this confession (summary). He [Yon]said he gave the original copy to me already, but I have not found it. Will find it later; 2)[We]have taken away our Brother's names involved in the two copies of confession, which were typed by using machine number 003. Can b e sent to the base, 5/8/77; on page 10, contains a hand-written note in red pen, which reads: - Please, Brother, read these two important points for information. Dear Brother, 1)Important points are u nderlined in red; 2)important points worth reading in this document are from page 83 forward. We see that after we arrested Khuon and Doeun, the ultimate plan for April 1977 is that Tom declares he is the one who directs the plan. There are some forces from the Northern (Zone]and some from the Eastern [Zone], who else are supperiors above Tom?; 3]Two copies of this document have already been sent to you, Brother; 4)Deum's confession is moderately clear, and has also already been sent to you, Brother.

Summary / Abstract :
|
Chhay Tang Leang joined the revolution in 1950. Later, [Leang]entered the Vietnam Workers' Party. In 1962, [Leang]decided to quit the revolution and became a Free Khmer Party member. In 1972, [Leang]w as assigned by Phim to be Secretary of Lvea Em District and still continued the traitorous activities with Rom. After the liberation in 1975, [Leang]was ordered by Chhouk and Tum to seize the power fr om the revolution and planned to attack warehouses to collect the weapons. [Leang]acted against the party line, which aimed to solve the peoples's problems, in an attempt to make them mistrust the rev olution. On 1 June 1977, [ Chhay Tang Leang]was arrested by Angkar.
