Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1964, Koeum [allegedly]joined the CIA. In 1966, he was appointed by his clique to be Commune Chief. Through his actions, he encouraged the revolutionary forces to run away and join the enemies and undermined the party's plan. The ruined rice, resulting in a shortfall of foodstuffs for the revolution, so that people no longer trusted the revolution. In 1977, when Angkar chose to eliminate bad el ements from among the people, he directed his subordinate to kill both bad and good people, making people think Angkar was not good, not fair, and killed people indiscriminately. On 15 September, 1977 , he was arrested by Angkar.
