Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1960, Tuot Rein, medic, [allegedly]joined the CIA, and educated students to join the CIA. In 1969, he joined a meeting with Lon Nol, Long Boreth and Sos Tein regarding the issue of resisting the Kh mer Rouge forces and staging a coup. After the liberation in 1975, he became the Chief of Cotton Cooperative and lived in Region 5. At that time, he destroyed cotton plants and encouraged people to mi strust the leadership of the revolution. On 7 August, 1977, he was arrested by Angkar.
