Summary / Abstract :

Tauch Phoeun joined the revolution in 1955. [Phoeun]still possessed the idea of wanting to lead a wealthy and happily life that made him derreat in serving the revolution. [Phoeun]then did not care ab out the revolution. Yet he joined the revolution, but in pratice he acted in contrary to it. Later, [Phoeun]quit the party to find a way to make money. In 1970, [Phoeun]left Phnom Penh to live and hid e at Oudong in wait for a good opportunity to take a leading post in the revolutionary's movement, and to make contact with Phnom Penh through commercial youths. In 1975, [Phoeun]went to work in the M inistry of Information, with Khuon. At that time [Phoeun]was assigned by Angkar to be responsible for construction, and encouraged workers to destroy construction materials and carelessly and wasteful ly do their work.
