Summary / Abstract :
In 1970, Kan Tok joined the revolution as a militiaman in Bakan Village. He was educated by Hing, a head of a Buddhist monastery, to join the CIA. His assignment was to build up underground forces in the revolution, to destroy the revolution's property, to burn out rice stores, and to distribute economic supplies to enemies. During battle in 1974, he encouraged combatants to go back home and shoot combatants in the back. In 1975, he gathered valuable property and destroyed other things, burned out brick houses in Battambang, hid foodstuffs and medicines in reserve for attacking the revolution. He also encouraged people to escape to Thailand to join In Tam soldiers, and destroyed booby traps along the border so In Tam soldiers could enter Cambodia.
