Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1966, Ham Sarin [allegedly]joined the CIA, and inspired students to dislike the Khmer Rouge, and encouraged teachers and students to distribute leaflets in schools in Prey Veng. [Sarin]reported on activities to In Tam, but made contact instead with Douch Kri. In 1974, [Sarin]was a Chief in the Economic Section of the Eastern Zone and destroyed bullets and rice. In 1975, [Sarin]came to Kien Svay , and built up traitorous forces to stage a coup d'état in 1977 together with Chak Krei and Chhouk's forces. On 22 January, 1977, [Ham Sarin]was arrested by Angkar.
