Summary / Abstract :
|
In 1962, Nhem Noeun [allegedly]joined the CIA, led by Koy Thun, to discourage students from joining the revolution. Later, [Noeun]became a school teacher in Kampong Cham, where he undertook actions in the school. In 1970, [Nhem]was moved to the headquaters led by Brother Phok, then recruited soldiers from New Youth, and allowed Vietnamese to take tens of thousands of sacks of rice without letting Angkar know. In 1975, [Nhem]hid weapons, shot cadres to take their guns, and assisted guerillas to attack the authorities in Region 106, until arrested by Angkar.
