Summary / Abstract :
|
Tapes and transcripts of first-person accounts about the Cambodian genocide by David Hawk, John Marston and Sotheary Doung, and others will be housed in this Division in the near future. The tapes of Hawk (over 125)and interviews by Marston (over 60)are currently being catalogued by the Social Science Research Council (605 Third Ave., New York, NY 10158). While Hawk specifically interviewed surviv ors of the genocide in order to obtain information about it, Marston and Sotheary Doung conducted interviews on the topic of language changes during the Pol Pot period.
