Comments on a study by J.D. Kinzie et al of posttraumatic stress disorder among survivors of Cambodian concentration camps. Unconscious guilt is the etiologic force underlying much of the patients' ch aracter and symptom pathology. The usefulness oftransforming this unconscious guilt into conscious guilt is discussed in relation to transference phenomena. (IHG Staff).
