A source reported that on May 29, 1973, about 500 Khmer Rebel Armed Forces divided into two groups. A group of 300 stayed in Baray village at WU 090-699, Sangkat Baray, Baray district and the other group of 200 stayed at Chak Toklaok village at WU 070-698, Sangkat Baray, Baray district, Kampong Thom. The source indicated that the enemies planned to go towards National Road 5.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ២៩ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានចែកគ្នាជាពីរក្រុម គឺ ៣០០នាក់ចូលទៅស្នាក់នៅភូមិបារាយណ៍ ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ ០៩០-៦៩៩ ក្នុងសង្កាត់បារាយណ៍ ស្រុកបារាយណ៍ និង ២០០នាក់ ទៀតចូលទៅស្នាក់នៅភូមិចតុលោក ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ ០៧០-៦៩៨ ក្នុងសង្កាត់បារាយ ស្រុកបារាយ ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា គោលបំណងរបស់ខ្មាំង គឺប្រុងធ្វើដំណើរឆ្ពោះទៅកាន់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៥។
