A source reported that on April 24-25, 1973, about 200 North Vietnamese and Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces came to stay along Prek Ta Pring from WT 030-662, WT 030-665 and WT 030-640, Sangkat Svay Ra Lum, Sa Ang district, Kandal province. The source continued that the enemies set up artillery position near Tuol Kra Sang village at VT 983-618, Sangkat Roka Khapuos, Sa Ang district with 1,000 troops to attack the National Army at VT 986-624, VT 972-634 and VT 952-627. The source stressed that the enemies intended to attack Ta Khmao provincial town a short time later.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ទៅ២៥ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានចូលមកស្នាក់នៅតាមព្រែកតាព្រីង ចាប់ពី ចំណុចឌឹបបាល់វ៉េតេ ០៣០-៦៦២, ឌឹបបាល់វ៉េតេ ០៣០-៦៥៥ និងឌឹបបាល់វ៉េតេ ០៣០-៦៤០ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ស្វាយរលំ ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមថា ពួកខ្មាំងបានយកកាំភ្លើងធំមក តាំងនៅភូមិទួលក្រសាំង ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៨៣-៦១៨ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ រកាខ្ពស់ ស្រុកស្អាង ហើយមានទ័ពខ្មាំង១,០០០នាក់ នៅទីនោះចាំ វាយទប់នឹងកងការពារជាតិ ដែលមានទីតាំងនៅចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៩៨៦-៦២៤, វ៉េតេ ៩៧២-៦៣៤ និងវ៉េតេ ៩៥២-៦២៧។ ប្រភព បញ្ជាក់ថាគោលបំណងខ្មាំងប្រុងវាយប្រហារក្រុងតាខ្មៅ នៅក្នុពេលឆាប់ៗ ខាងមុខនេះ។
