Iem Kan, had served in Khmer Communist Movement
since October, 1973, as a combatant in Team 1, Platoon 32, Company 138, Battalion 54. He was arrested on July 9, 1974, in a battlefield in Sangkat Svay Rolum, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province by the National Army. នៅខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ អៀម កន បានចូលបម្រើឱ្យចលនាខ្មែរ កុម្មុយនិស្ដក្នុងឋានៈជាយុទ្ធជនក្រុមទី១, កងអនុសេនាតូច៣២, កងអនុ សេនាធំ១៣៨, វរសេនាតូច៥៤។ នៅថ្ងៃទី៩ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ជននេះត្រូវបានកងទ័ពជាតិក្នុងកងពលតូចថើ្មរជើងទី១ ចាប់បានក្នុង សមរភូមិប្រយុទ្ធក្នុងសង្កាត់ស្វាយរំលំ ស្រុកកណ្ដាលសឹ្ទង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។
