On April 29, 1973, about 50 Khmer Viet Congs equipped with a 60 mm mortar, four B-41 guns, fifteen AR-15 guns and some M-79 guns came to stay at VT 774-998, in Thmei village, Sangkat Phnom Bat, Oudong district of Oudong Meanchey province. The enemies were about attack the National Army position in Phnom Bat in the future.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៩ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរយៀកកុងចំនួនប្រហែល ៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃដូចជា កាំភ្លើងត្បាល់៦០មីលី ម៉ែត្រ ១ដើម, បេ៤១ ចំនួន៤ដើម, អាអ៊ែ ១៥ដើម ព្រមទាំងអ៊ឹម ៧៩ និងប៉េអឹមអាសេមួយចំនួនទៀត បានចូលមកស្នាក់នៅត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៧៧៤-៩៩៨ ក្នុងភូមិថ្មី សង្កាត់ភ្នំបាត ស្រុកឧដុង្គ ខេត្ដ ឧដុង្គមានជ័យ។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណងប្រុងវាយកមេ្ទចទីតាំង កងទ័ពជាតិនៅភ្នំបាត ក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗនេះ។
