On June 18, 1971, about 300 Viet Cong armed forces dug trenches for hiding in between Bandei village and Chbar Sla village at VT 828-026, 935-071 and 929-077 in sangkat Kampong Svay, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province. 500 Viet Cong armed forces other deployed and hid in local people's house and the house of chief of sangkat in sangkat Srayov, Kampong Svay district.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ១៨-មិថុនា-១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងយៀកកុង ប្រដាប់អាវុធប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ បានជីកលេណដ្ឋានលាក់ខ្លួនចន្លោះ ភូមិបណ្ដី និងភូមិច្បារស្លា ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨២៨-០២៦, ៩៣៥-០៧១ និង ៩២៩-០៧៧ ក្នុងសង្កាត់កំពង់ស្វាយ ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ។ ខ្មាំងយៀកកុងប្រដាប់អាវុធ ប្រហែល៥០០នាក់ បានរាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួនតាមផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុក និងចៅសង្កាត់នៅក្នុងសង្កាត់ស្រយ៉ូវ ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ។
