On May 17-19, 1971, about 200 Viet Cong armed forces whose shelters were located in Sambour Meas sub-district, Muk Kampoul district secretly crossed Tonle Sap at VT 837-930 to the West in Ponhea Leu district of Kandal province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៧-១៩ ឧសភា ១៩៧១ ខ្មាំងយៀកកុងប្រដាប់ដោយ អាវុធចំនួនប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ដែលមានតាំងជម្រកនៅក្នុង ឃុំសំបួរមាស ស្រុកមុខកំពូល បានលួចឆ្លងទនេ្លសាបត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨៣៧-៩៣០ ឆ្ពោះទៅទិសខាងលិចក្នុងស្រុកពញាឮ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។
