On May 20, 1973, one Battalion of Yuon Viet Cong and Khmer Viet Cong Armed Forces came to stay at Prek Tea Hean Sao at WT 043-580, 044-573, Sangkat Svay Pra Teal, Sa Ang district of Kandal province. On May 22, 1973, the enemies the devided ito groups then stayed in Chraoy Russei village, Prek Ta Nup at WT 062-619, 068-613 and 053-606, in an attempt to ambush the National Army and local people who travel on National Road No.1 from Takhmao to Sa Ang.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ មានយួន និងខ្មែរយៀកកុង ប្រហែល១កងវរសេនាតូច ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានចូលមក ស្នាក់នៅព្រែកទាហានសៅ ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ០៤៣-៥៨០, ០៤៤-៥៧៣ សង្កាត់ស្វាយប្រទាល ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ លុះដល់ថ្ងៃទី២២ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មាំងខាងលើបានបំបែកគ្នាជាក្រុមៗមកស្នាក់នៅ ភូមិជ្រោយឬស្សី, ភូមិព្រែកតានប់ ត្រង់ឌុបដឺវ៉េតេ ០៦២-៦១៩, ០៦៨-៦១៣ ,០៥៣-៦០៦ ក្នុងគោលបំណងស្ទាក់បាញ់ ទាហានជាតិ និងអ្នកស្រុកដែលធ្វើដំណើរតាមផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ ពីតាខ្មៅ ទៅស្អាង។
